Get to know Jenna Goots, one of our Summer Interns on The Collective NORAM team! A bit about yourself (where from, what college you attend): I’m from Richmond, Virginia and I go to West Virginia University. What are you majoring in/career aspirations after graduation?: I’m majoring in advertising and public relations with minors in marketing and event planning. After graduation I’d like to work within the event’s industry, especially on the creative and management sides. Favorite part about working with The Collective? Always working on something new and different and being able to work with so many kind and inspiring people who care about helping me succeed whether that’s in this company or another. Biggest success of your internship? Forming connections with the teams and learning more about the industry and potential career paths. What are you doing when you aren’t in school or working? Our next HB Intern Spotlight will focus on Gabe Kamins. A Film Analyst/Player Evaluation Intern from The University of Wisconsin-Madison. Gabe aims to combine his passions for marketing, branding, and sports to make a positive impact in the business world. We asked Gabe to share some insight on his time with Hoop Brothers.What are some of the tasks and projects you're responsible for as apart of that role?"Analyzing film on middle school and high school basketball players, creating player evaluation reports, collaborating with fellow interns on various projects, and conducting research on individual players and teams with the goal of identifying viable partnerships."Explain what you have enjoyed most about the internship with Hoop Brothers."I have greatly enjoyed the family element of Hoop Brothers. Everybody cares about each other and shares the same goal of turning Hoop Brothers into a powerhouse sports media company!"What is one piece of advice you would give a new intern joining Hoop Brothers team ?"Don't be afraid to ask for help, whether that be asking a fellow intern or a manager. Make no mistake - how you treat your employees is a brand play. Let me explain.I was already aware of Once Upon a Farm, but this honest praise for a dedicated intern planted a seed in my mind (as an outsider completely unaffiliated with the company) that this is a brand with genuine integrity behind it. They don't seem to be doing it for likes, or sales, or web traffic. There are not likely KPIs set against it, no data reports will be pulled to measure it's effectiveness, but that doesn't mean it's not a smart marketing move. It effects how we see and feel about them. Which effects purchasing intent. Not everything is measured in CTRs and ROAS, folks.

And that’s a wrap on my summer internship program at the Orange Bowl Committee as a Partnerships and Marketing Intern.🍊🍊What an eye opening journey it has been filled with growth, learning, and meaningful experiences. Through this internship, I've gained invaluable skills:Strategic Partnerships: I've learned to foster win-win collaborations from initial outreach to complete activations, and build strong partnerships that drive mutual success.
