Percy, if you ever come across this, keep in mind that I’m rushing and typing this on a phone. I mean, the last time you caught me typing these out was after I was editing Luke’s profile after your birthday. I guess new times call for old habits to come back I suppose. If I’m going to keep track of everybody here, well, the files always helped. Maybe they’ll help you when I come to the rescue for a change.

Part of me just hopes that the past four days have been a nightmare. I hope that the next time I close my eyes I’ll see you again. But things don’t seem to change. We’re already flying to Quebec, but everything’s silent because McLean’s already spilled her guts (in the metaphorical sense, not literal). I’m taking advantage of this. So far, this guy’s been the most helpful with all of this, so he gets first spot.

Name: Leo Valdez’

Sex and Gender: Cisgender Male (From what I can tell)

Race: Mixed. Skin color is light brown. Most likely Latino, though what is his nationality and ethnicity I have no clue. He hasn’t spilled any details so far, and I don’t want to screw up any friendship by making assumptions. I’ll ask him when the topic ever comes around.

Hair: Black, curly. Very different compared to yours - less messy.

Eye color: Brown, with… something. I’ll add it later to the conspiracy notes.

Figure: Thin, rather short (most likely 5-foot 2 inches, or 157.48 cm). Lack of muscle is rather deceptive - he definitely has a lot more strength than meets the eye, considering he was still able to slice through the Myrmeke Queen’s armor.

Divine Parentage: Unknown (Possible theories, see Conspiracy Notes).

Divine Authority: Unknown.

Divine Talents: Unknown.

Divine Attributes: Speed.

Abilities: Seems to have experience with knives, extremely intelligent, kind of reminds me of me when I was younger. He seems to have immense critical thinking skills as to how to read a situation and use it to his advantage - hint of possible manipulative side?

Key relationships: Me, Piper McLean, Drew Tanaka, Jason <REDACTED>, Will Solace, Hera (See Conspiracy Notes)

Personality: Comedic, insightful, empathetic, optimistic(?). Casually rebellious. If there is another side to him, he hides it extremely well. Seems to have a rather positive viewpoint of the gods, which is weird. A lot of us are rather neutral, or like you, with a chip on our shoulders.

Bio: Unknown. Was attending the same field trip as Piper, was the only student to not have his memory altered by the Mist. Joined Camp Half-Blood literally yesterday. Unclaimed, which is extremely infuriating.

Personal Weaknesses: Unknown so far. However, that’s sort of due to a lack of visibility as to what he can do and what he can’t. As far as I can tell, he may lack endurance or toughness, and that is because the guy is thin. And short. Like, he’s nearly Nico levels of height, and there’s some sort of hint of malnutrition in his body that I barely noticed because I saw the same thing from some demigods that came from the streets.

Personal Thoughts: This guy both amazes me and sometimes terrifies me with how smart he is. From what he’s told me, this guy was somewhat aware of the world of Gods and Monsters. Next thing I know, literally an hour after he’s met me, he already cooked up a theory as to what Jason is, where you are, and that Hera has more of a hand into whatever this is than I thought and then somehow gets Hera to pick up the phone when pissing her off didn’t.

He also tends to keep his cards close to his chest. Either that, or whatever he went through before meeting me was traumatic to the point that he learned to do so. More likely the latter. It doesn’t really matter to me from a quest-oriented point of view. But… I want him to trust me. Is that weird? He feels familiar somehow.

Relationships:

Me:

Leo has been… extremely helpful for a newbie demigod. He was the one to figure out what is happening to you Percy, he was the one to comfort me. If the Cabins had a choice to ‘adopt’ the unclaimed, I would be the first one to send an application. He’s like that precocious little brother who’s somehow wise beyond his years while being incredibly emotionally mature Lets me ramble and is still able to follow along to what I say. Still, part of me is on edge. His past is unknown, and part of me would like to learn more about it.

Drew: Seems to have made friends with Drew, if anything. I’m happy that he’s making friends, especially with Drew. She’s been working her ass off to do damage control to her Cabin’s reputation, and not to the popularity of some of her half-siblings who like Silena. Heck, they’re rambling about anime (I think? All they say is JJK) and are probably going to be the closest.

Jason: Seems to get along rather well with the son of Zeus. Not exactly BFFs, though Jason told me that Leo was the one to not treat him like he was crazy when he admitted to having no memories. Leo seems rather interested in making friends with him - though if there is any ulterior motive behind that, I can’t tell. Time will tell, I suppose.

Will: Leo… flirts with him. Though I can’t exactly tell if because he’s interested in Will romantically, wants to get in his pants, or is just doing it for the sake of fun. Could be all three - I’ve seen some of Aphrodite’s or Eros’s sons do the same thing - whether they get anything or end up being cursed by the Cabin depends on how well the victim takes it.

Will does seem focused on Leo’s health though, and that is more sincere if anything. Either that or the guy takes his position as a doctor seriously. Which, to be fair, we all need that sort of guy in our lives - whether it is me helping you pull your ass out of the fire or you stopping me from pulling an all-nighter into dawn. Gods-Damit, now I just made myself sad.

Piper: They have some sort of pre-existing relationship - they may have been friends back at whatever school they were both together in. Regardless, I do not know how exactly their relationship is right now. I mean, she just spilled that she was an attempt at having either a mole or a backstabber into the team. Either she cares about his relationship with her a lot, or he just has her around for pure pragmatism. I would have opted more for the latter choice to be honest.

Conspiracy Notes:

Percy, a lot of these theories are going to sound crazy, but in the words of Rachel: Let me cook. I barely know a lot about this guy. If there’s another spy that’s not McLean, I would nominate him next thing if I had the evidence to back it up.

> Leo’s Parentage?

He’s a Son/Champion/Spy of Hera

Now, normally I know Hera has some standards. But we are dealing with an event in which she has turned you and all of us into chess pieces. I would not be surprised if she hid away some sort of extremely powerful demigod that she broke her oaths through (or maybe he was born wholesale like Hephaestus or my mom) only for her to spring it when she really needed it. Heck, if I really want to toss in the fantasy kitchen sink, he could be a homunculi Hera made.

Leo’s unclaimed, and as far as I am aware of, none of the Olympians have been kidnapped and are unable to send any signs to claim him. Plus, Hera picked up the phone for Leo. That implies that either he has a close relationship with Hera, or he matters a lot to Hera than what she’s letting on. Either that or she did not respond to me pelting her statue with watermelon, which, fair. Either way, Hera’s connection with Leo is something I cannot ignore. And unbelievably, this is one of my saner reactions.

He’s a Son of Kronos/Kronos’ new Host

Yeah… you remember the thing about the eyes?

I didn’t notice it until we got to the Bunker but there was that… slowness. You know the one. The one that came from when Kronos slowed down time while we fought him in Mount Olympus. It was… a lot more subtle, however. Like, I didn’t even notice anything at first. For a second, I thought I was just still in shock about the underground bunker.

Then I noticed my perception of my surroundings was slowing down. I was trying to focus on Leo, but it was as if the world itself was video played in slow motion. Even my thoughts felt like they were trying to swim through a vat of caramel. When I finally saw Leo’s eyes… Percy, they were gold. For a split second, they were the same gold Luke’s were when he was taken over by Kronos. Then they switched to Leo’s brown.

Either Kronos was able to somehow have a super baby behind our backs (which, still, how?! ), or he was somehow able to find a new host. Neither possibility I like. Is Leo aware of his possible divine heritage, is he even clued-in that Kronos somehow pulled a Voldemort and is now living in his mind? Was Leo using his control of time consciously or subconsciously? Is it even him behind the wheel, or has Kronos somehow managed to take over Leo’s mind and soul already?

The worst thing is that I don’t have you to help me with this Seaweed Brain. Part of me wants to believe it's real. Another part of me thinks that it may have been a stress-induced hallucination.

>Background?

Possible Veteran of the Titan War for the Titans

This one isthe most grounded theory that I have. Leo is… too skilled with knives to just be an unclaimed demigod. Unless a demigod has some sort of criminal history, they’re mostly untrained when it comes to weaponry. Yes, there is you and I who had some form of natural skill, but natural skill can only take one so far. Leo fought the Queen and her spawn like it was something he was used to doing. His stabs, his slices, even his grip radiates the theory that he was trained.

And so far, we haven’t seen someone that looks like Leo in Camp Half-Blood. Either Hera himself trained her if we lean into the ‘Leo is Hera’s Spawn’ theory, or he was trained by someone else. And the only thing that could fit is that Leo was recruited by the Titans. It would also fit into the theory that he is somehow either a host or a child of Kronos. It would also explain how he was unclaimed.

Percy… you know you pleaded to amnesty for the demigods that took part in the war. But the reality is that some demigods still think they were in the right. Mom told me that there were demigods that refused to surrender, even though they were offered a place at Camp. When they refused, the offer was revoked, and they were threatened to back off or die. Leo, for all we know, could be a demigod that took advantage of Olympus’s silence, and his own divine parent refuses to claim him.

Possibly Part of this ‘Other Camp’

Another possible theory - Falls into the Hera’s Spawn theory. It would explain his training and his experience with this world. She could have sent him there, have him be claimed, and thus technically she would satisfy the deal and avoid having to give away the truth to us.

Other Notes:

Avoid conflict as much as possible. He’s a wild card, and any of the theories written above or none of them can come true. So long as he keeps hiding his cards against his chest, he will most likely be one step ahead of everyone. But for now… I trust him. Anyways, he’s telling everyone else that we’re getting closer to Quebec. I hope things go smoothly… but knowing the world, things will go to sh*t.
