It’s hard to believe my son, nieces and nephews have less reproductive rights now than when I was a teenager. I’ve worked so hard in my career for improved sexual and reproductive health. It’s very disheartening to go backwards.

People with urgent health needs need medical care. Can you imagine being in a foreign country, not knowing the language and having a sick child with an urgent medical need.I am so proud of Migrant Clinicians Network Health Network program. I am so proud of our Migrant Clinicians Network team. We received funding from NIH Community Fund ComPASS to build a structural intervention to assist at-risk immigrants in receiving essential health care. When people are on the move, their access to health care in our very fractured and complicated system is compromised. MCN and its partners are working to solve that problem.

We’re excited Renai Edwards is joining our Migrant Clinicians Network team. My colleagues always joke that I only have two degrees of separation from the rest of the world. Turns out Renai and I crossed paths at CDC 20 years ago.
